Paper/Euro Paper Talk: West Ham move for Chelsea ace; Darmian exit

Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has given the green light for a move to Serie A, while Tottenham and West Ham are battling for a Barcelona star, according to Saturday’s newspapers.

Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian has reportedly said yes to a move to Juventus this summer.

The 28-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Torino in 2015 but has failed to hold down a regular starting spot and has fallen completely out of favour this season, starting only two Premier League games.

And a report in TuttoSport claims that Darmian is willing to move to Turin and has told Juve of his interest in the switch.

The reigning Serie A champions are in the market for a replacement for the aging Stephan Lichtsteiner and Darmian could well be the man to take his place at the bianconeri.

At this stage, however, there has been no official interest from Juventus – although that position may now change given Darmian’s admission.
